How customers opt in to Poolhaus texts

This page documents every opt-in path for the Poolhaus SMS program (Poolhaus Service & Invoice Alerts, operated by Gazzini Ventures LLC). Poolhaus is software that pool service operators use to run their business. Poolhaus sends two kinds of texts: requested one-time verification codes, and service and invoice notifications to an operator’s customers. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

1. Operator sign-in codes (the operator’s own number)

An operator opens the Poolhaus app, enters their own mobile number, and taps “Send me a code.” That action is the request for a one-time passcode. Only the number the operator typed receives the code.

2. Customer service and invoice texts (in person, recorded in the app)

For customers added in person, the operator asks for permission before recording recurring SMS consent in the Poolhaus app. The workflow:

1. The customer hires the operator and gives the operator their mobile number in person (or by phone) for service updates and invoices. The operator asks, in words to this effect: “Poolhaus will text you a link to see each completed visit and pay the invoice, and a reminder if one stays unpaid. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time. Is that okay?”
2. The operator opens Add a stop in the Poolhaus app, enters the address and the customer’s mobile number, and ticks the consent checkbox shown below. The checkbox is unchecked by default, and the app will not save a customer with a mobile number until it is ticked.
3. Poolhaus stores the date and time of consent and which operator recorded it. Pay-link and reminder texts are refused by the server for any customer without a recorded consent.

The consent control in the app reads:

3. Customer web signup

A customer opens their operator’s invitation link or scans a QR code and enters their contact details. The general terms checkbox and the optional SMS checkbox are separate and unchecked. The customer can finish signup with the SMS checkbox left unchecked. The SMS disclosure names their operator and reads:

I agree to receive recurring service and invoice text messages from [operator business name] through Poolhaus. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Links to the SMS Terms and SMS Privacy Policy appear beside the disclosure. Poolhaus records the accepted disclosure version and consent time. After signup, customers may request a code to verify their own number; this optional action requests that verification message and does not opt them into recurring texts. Optional card-save authorization is also separate from SMS consent and does not enable charges or automatic payments.

4. Keyword (re)subscribe: START

A customer who previously opted out can text START to the Poolhaus number that texted them. The confirmation reply is: Poolhaus: you are subscribed to service and invoice texts for your pool service. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
